Oct. 31, 2012 - Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween from the Buckeye state.

Although The Ohio State University football team cannot play for the Big Ten championship, a bowl game, or the National Championship, I remain a proud Buckeye this Halloween.

Go Bucks!

Oct. 22, 2012 - PPM - Undecided Voters

This week's PET PEEVE MONDAY (PPM) was going to be about the Presidential Debates.

I was fully prepare to tell you how debates were a media-generated event. That the debates had no bearing on the Presidential race.

However, I would have been wrong. After the first debate, the American public was able to get a good look at Mitt Romney. He crushed Obama and has been trending upwards in the polls since.

After the VP debate, we all saw Biden for what he is.......unqualified.

The sum take away from the debates by the Democrats has been: Big Bird, Binders, and Bayonets. None of these topics will create jobs, raise house values, or correct a flawed healthcare program.

It's the Democrats' desire to treat us as an ADD society and say hey, "Look at the shiny object."

Just today, they tried to use abortion as a wedge issue when only 2% of the electorate have identified it as an important issue.

The polls still show 7% as undecided. I'm not sure how. There has never been such a stark and clear distinction between two candidates. If you are undecided, then maybe you shouldn't be allowed to vote.

So there it is, my PPM: Undecided Voters

After seeing everything that has been presented about the candidates including their debate statements, if someone is still undecided, please DO NOT VOTE.

I'm sure that we all would be better served if you just stayed on the couch and watched the Kardashians, Honey Boo Boo, or some other "educational" show.

Oct. 19, 2012 - Friday Funny - Obama's Forward

This week's FRIDAY FUNNY is a Obama campaign sign that was posted in the window of a business that most likely driven out of business by Obama's small business policies.

I'm not sure how we can move "FORWARD" under this administration.

Irony or Tragedy?

The voters will decide in November.

Oct. 18, 2012 - Newsweek Failure

Newsweek announced today that they would cease to offer a print edition at the end of the year. Newsweek had been in circulation for 79 years.

I had been a reader for almost 40 years. When we couldn't afford a subscription, I would read a tattered copy at the public or school library.

Newsweek's demise comes as no surprise. Their product offering was lacking the last few years. It had a serious liberal bias. It usually would hide that fact in the context of its articles, but it finally bled onto the cover.

I cancelled my subscription when Newsweek published the below edition this past summer.

It's ironic that Romney's rise in the polls is juxtaposed against Newsweek's fall. Maybe President Obama can provide tax payer funds to shore up the magazine like PBS or Solyndra. It could give Newsweek new life, at least until January 20, 2013.

Oct. 12, 2012 - Friday Funny - Puppet Regime Exposed

After the first debate between President Obama and Governor Romney there was a barrage of ads with Big Bird because Romney said he would end tax payer support of PBS.

Sesame Street and Big Bird do not need our support. They actually make millions on franchising and merchandising. The faux outrage from the Democrats should be exposed.

This picture of my favorite Muppet, Kermit the Frog, sums up what the left thinks will happen to our friends.

Truth be told, our puppet friends will be fine. As in any capitalistic society, businesses should survive, thrive, or die on their own.

Oct. 3, 2012 - Why Debate?

The first Presidential debate for 2012 was held tonight. I've always thought that debates should not be an indicator of a politician's ability to lead. I don't need someone that is quick on their feet. I need someone that gives real thought in their decision process.

Imagine in a time of war. Do you want a quick response, or a well thought out response?

I let my children stay up late and watch the Debate. As part of their Civics Lesson, we played Obama Debate Bingo. It was a quick game.

By all accounts, even MSNBC, Romney won the debate.

I may have to adjust the value a assess to debates. Obama clearly was not and is not ready to lead.

In Romney's closing statement he should have said "If elected, I will work every day to make this a better country for every American. I will never pit one group of Americans against another group based on race, gender, sexual orientation, or ECONOMIC STANDING. Finally, I will never, ever, blame anyone else for the conditions I have inherited."

It was enlightening to see how someone performs without a TelePrompTer.
