April 29, 2015 - There IS Crying in Baseball

Today was a sad day for our National Pastime, Baseball.

I've always loved the below quote / scene from the movie, "Field of Dreams."

“The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It's been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt, and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game, is a part of our past, Ray. It reminds us of all that once was good, and it could be again. Ohhhhhhhh, people will come, Ray. People will most definitely come.”

Today, baseball officials were clueless and cowardly.  People were NOT allowed to come.

NO ONE could watch the Baltimore Orioles play the Chicago White Sox today.  MLB officials allowed the game to go on, but would not allow ANY fans to attend.  NO ONE was allowed in Camden Yards because the thug mentality has taken over in Baltimore and it is not safe.

It is a SAD day in our country when we give in to the terrorists, domestic or foreign.

April 24, 2015 - Friday Funny - A Book by it's Cover?

This week's FRIDAY FUNNY comes as more and more Book Clubs only choose books that are downloadable.  I, for one, always enjoyed using the Dewey Decimal system or the card catalog to find  my desired book.  Choosing a book in the below picture would only increase my challenge and my elation when the mystery was solved.

April 17, 2015 - Friday Funny - There She Blows

This week's FRIDAY FUNNY is only the beginning as Hillary Clinton has entered the 2016 Presidential campaign.

I'm sure that any time any one brings up Bill Clinton's serial sexual offender past, many liberal media types will scream "Sexism."

That is why this is a FRIDAY FUNNY. Whenever anyone challenges Hillary, there will be some unwarranted outrage. You just have to laugh it off.

April 10, 2015 - Unre-rented Love

This week's FRIDAY FUNNY can be filed under, "It Seemed Like A Good Idea at the Time" category.

We can be thankful that Dear Abby never had to respond to a letter of this nature.

I'm sure everything worked out for everyone involved.  I'm also sure they enjoyed their appearance of the Jerry Springer Show.

April 3, 2015 - Friday Funny - Who is Where?

This week's FRIDAY FUNNY is timely with the start of another baseball season.

Every time I go to a game, someone will ask, "Who is on Second?"  I always respond "NO, WHO is on FIRST!"
