April 29, 2015 - There IS Crying in Baseball
Today was a sad day for our National Pastime, Baseball.
I've always loved the below quote / scene from the movie, "Field of Dreams."
“The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It's been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt, and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game, is a part of our past, Ray. It reminds us of all that once was good, and it could be again. Ohhhhhhhh, people will come, Ray. People will most definitely come.”
Today, baseball officials were clueless and cowardly. People were NOT allowed to come.
NO ONE could watch the Baltimore Orioles play the Chicago White Sox today. MLB officials allowed the game to go on, but would not allow ANY fans to attend. NO ONE was allowed in Camden Yards because the thug mentality has taken over in Baltimore and it is not safe.
It is a SAD day in our country when we give in to the terrorists, domestic or foreign.
