March 29, 2016 - Vietnam Veterans Day

Every March 29 is now considered National Vietnam Veteran's Day.

This honor and awareness is long overdue.  It's hard to believe that it took till 2012 until we started to recognize this important part of our national history.  The soldiers who fought and who may or may not have returned had NOTHING to do with the politics of the Vietnam War.  They only knew they were putting their lives in jeopardy for OUR Country.

Although, a fictional character from A Few Good Men, Colonel Jessup is how I have come to vbiew these Vietnam Heroes.  You want the Truth?

The American people can't handle the truth!!!

March 28, 2016 - PPM- Social (Media) Injustice

This week's PET PEEVE MONDAY (PPM) is the obvious double standard that now permeates Social Media.

If this was posted about Hillary Clinton there would be congressional inquiries.  If it were posted about Barrack Obama it would immediately be labeled a "Hate Crime."

I am by no means a Donald Trump supporter.  BUT can the media at least PRETEND to be non-biased?

March 25, 2016 - Friday Funny - A Few Yolks

Easter is this Sunday.  And while I have NO idea what the resurrection of Jesus Christ has to do with Easter Eggs, I thought this was funny.

I think even Kevin BACON would have a hard time connected the true meaning of Easter with chocolate bunnies and colored eggs.  And why do we need to hide the eggs anyway?

March 21, 2016 - PPM - UnFree Speech

This week's PET PEEVE MONDAY (PPM) is what has happened over the last month at Donald Trump rallies.  

I am NO Donald Trump supporter, however lately thugs and disrupters have stopped traffic to prevent Trump supporters from getting to his rallies.  Once the rallies have started these protesters regularly will rise up and begin yelling and disrupt Trump's speech.

Why is it that ONLY THEIR speech is free? Why is it OK for them prevent other's FREE SPEECH?

Yet, all the media can talk about is the VIOLENCE and DIVISIVENESS of the Trump rallies.  REALLY?  Who is causing the violence and divisiveness?

IF you don't agree with Trump or his message, FINE. Vote for someone else.  But why is OK for you to prevent others from their First Amendment rights?

March 18, 2016 - Friday Funny - America is Grate

This week's FRIDAY FUNNY finally makes me smile over the poll-tested Trump catch phrase:

  "Make America Great Again."

What is NOT funny is that Trump's marketing of himself as the next President has been reduced to a strategy of selling us new Tide, only in this case, he is "New Reagan."

Low information voters gave us Barrack Obama. I guess it's probably time for the pendulum to swing to a Republican.

March 14, 2016 - PPM - I'm Anti-Choice

This week's PET PEEVE MONDAY (PPM) is the pending Ohio election primary on March 15, 2016.

Never have I felt so disinterested and unenthused by the slate of Presidential candidates.  I've backed losers before.  I was a Fred Thompson fan in 2008.  I thought Mitt Romney was an obvious choice in 2012. (I still think America would like a "Mulligan" on that one.)

This year, I CANNOT get excited by ANY of the choices.  Is this really the best and brightest America has to offer?

If the candidates aren't pandering, they are attacking others on a sophomoric scale and usually about things they did as High School sophomores.  At this point, I would probably vote for the fictional Frank Underwood from House of Cards.  At least I know what I AM GETTING FOR MY VOTE.

I believe we can do MULCH better.

This week's FRIDAY FUNNY comes as Bernie Sanders has started to put a scare into Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination in the 2016 election.

Outside of a Federal indictment, Hillary will win the Dem nod.  However, I found the below picture INCREDIBLY funny and accurate.

What will Bernie redistribute after he runs out of OTHER people's money?

March 7, 2016 - PPM - No Country For Orange Men

This week's PET PEEVE MONDAY (PPM) is the continued retort from people who claim they will LEAVE the United States if their candidate does not win the election.  The exodus list grows daily should their villain, Donald Trump, win the election.

It's ironic that these same people said they would leave if GEORGE W. BUSH WON  -  yet they are still here.  No one is going to leave when SO much is provided for FREE.

My message is simple.  You lose any AND all credibility by these continued false proclamations. 

Actually, your threats of an USA departure, may in fact, make people want to vote AGAINST your candidate.  The thought of some non-contributing members to the program opting out is too good to ignore.  Just saying.
