March 13, 2013 - WH is Closed for Despair

This is an update to an earlier Pet Peeve about the Sequester.

The early reports of cannibalism, food hoarding, and the end of civilization as we know it have proven false.

However, that doesn't mean Obama hasn't tried to affect the narrative.

The White House has decided to "SAVE" $18,000 per week by canceling tours of "The People's House".

Obama has admitted he wasn't good at math.  $24K a week is $600K per year,  Based on the 2012 figures, when we added $1,200,000,000,000 to our national debt, we add $600K to our National Debt every 16 seconds.

Now the only way you can be a visitor to the White House is if you run a labor union.

In April 2012, I wanted to tour the White House, but I and my family were denied for unknown reasons.  Ironically, we wouldn't have had that "awkward" moment in the hall way had Obama and I run into each other.  He was on a golf vacation at the time.  What are the chances of that?
 

 

The Most Transparent Administration Ever now literally sequesters itself from public view.

The Obama administration is instructing agencies to make the sequester cuts as painful as possible.

The fact checkers are finally doing their job and debunking the doomsday scenarios about the Sequester that Obama was projecting.

 
The best thing about the Sequester is that it's promoting discussion of government waste and establishing priorities.  It's called SETTING A BUDGET.

 

Leaders lead and take responsibility.  Losers make excuses and blame somebody else.
