Oct. 30, 2013 - PPM - Halloween is TOO Scary
This week, I am offering a bonus PET PEEVE MONDAY
(PPM).
There is rain in the forecast for Halloween, so many
communities are rescheduling “Trick or Treat” for another day. It has always been on October 31.
“Trick Or Treat”, by definition, is an unknown. Good/Bad, Ying/Yang, Soccer/Real Sports.Who knows?
When I was a kid, we went trick or treating, rain or
shine, hot or cold, snow and sleet. I think
one year, we even had an earthquake or locusts, yet we went trick or treating.
Why don’t we just move all Halloween activities
inside so our precious children don’t have to endure weather at all? Better yet, let’s make it a drive-through
activity so that they won’t have to leave the calm environment of the minivan
with the DVD playing their favorite show.
We have become a soft country and are putting our
children in a bubble.
If they delay Halloween in our community, I’m still
going to send my kids out. They will get
candy or will perform a “treat” on the non-participating houses.
Some schools have eliminated "Tag" and " Dodge Ball" from recess because it is dangerous. Now, we are going to move Halloween because of RAIN?
Stop, the INSANITY!!!
