Dec. 17, 2014 - Loser of the Week - Lighigan

Michigan now has more food stamp recipients than it does public school students, according to state records.

As of December 2014, Michigan has 1,679,421 individuals on food stamps according to the U.S. Agriculture Department.  According to the Michigan Department of Education, the state’s total pupil count for K-12 is 1,564,114.  THERE YOU GO.

A special thank you should go out to former Democratic Governor, Jennifer Granholm, who served from 2003-2011. She manufactured the decline of a once proud Midwestern state.

Ironically, Granholm is now employed as is a professor of Law and Public Policy at the University of California, Berkeley.

Michigan, now “Lichigan”, you are the LOSER OF THE WEEK.

Why do you kick a state when they are down?

OK - Michigan is down almost always.
