April 30, 2013 - Bobblehead

Every spring for the past 17 years I've gone to Myrtle Beach for 5 days to hone my golf game and prepare for the coming season.

I've always worried about how my wife was able to handle my absence and our time apart. It can't be easy.

This year, to ease her pain, I had some Bobbleheads made in my likeness so that where ever she goes, I'll be there.

When she opens the cabinet for her morning coffee, I'll be there. When she drives her car, attached to the dashboard, I'll be there. When she goes into her walk-in closet to change clothes, I'll be there.

When she wakes up in the morning, I'll be there on the nightstand watching her sleep just like most mornings.

If anyone needs their own JJ Bobblehead, I would guess there may be some available on eBay or at Goodwill later this week.

April 29, 2013 - PPM - Credit Worthy?

This week's PET PEEVE MONDAY (PPM) concerns the media coverage of the Boston Marathon bombings.

PEEVES about the Boston Bombing are multiple: Immigration Lapses, Intelligence Failures, Welfare Abuses, Miranda Mismanagement

Forget for a minute, that the Media continued to publish un-verified information about what was happening and who was responsible.

That's right CNN, the April 15 Boston bombing had nothing to do with a Right-Wing nut upset about Tax Day.

It's the new mantra. Don't worry about if "it is correct", just be first. We can always offer a correction. If they ARE right, then hey can boast that they had "Breaking News."

Here is my PEEVE.

A recent CBSNews/NYTimes poll shows 68% approve of President Obama's handling of the Boston bombings while 20% disapprove.

What did Obama actually do to "handle" the Boston Bombings?

His administration didn't prevent it. His administration did not catch the responsible parties.

Why is there even a poll on Obama's impact on the bombings? Thank you, Lame Stream Media.

Say what you want about George W. Bush, but during his watch no Jihadis lived off welfare courtesy of US taxpayers and then blew up Americans.

April 19, 2013 - Friday Funny Want Ad

This week's FRIDAY FUNNY is weird, until you consider it came from Canada. After that, you can say, "Yeah, I can see that happening."

April 18, 2013 - April Vacation

if you look back at the blog history of Jay's Jabberwocky, April has always been a lean month. April is the confluence of the start of baseball, spring break, and my annual pilgrimage to Myrtle Beach for golf.

I'm still experiencing PET PEEVES and have statements to make on current events and happenings. However, i may not have a reliable electronic device and Internet connection in order to share.

Stay tuned.
