Sept. 28, 2012 - Friday Funny - Sad, But True

This week's FRIDAY FUNNY is a political cartoon.

It's sad, true, but also funny. Not a day goes by that ANY criticism of the current resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is followed by "racism" accusations.

Sept. 27, 2012 - Loser of the Week - Harry Reid

This week's LOSER OF THE WEEK is Senate Majority Leader(?) Harry Reid (D-NV.)

LOSER Reid had for months said that he had heard from an "unnamed source" that Mitt Romney had not paid taxes for 10 years. No proof, just baseless accusations, that the press repeated and repeated.

Doesn't anyone think that if there were any shred of truth to this accusation that the IRS under the control of the Secretary of Treasury, that reports to the President, would have investigated the claim?

REALLY, 10 years? Someone should ask Wesley Snipes what happens when you don't pay your taxes for 1 year.

When Ronmey released affidavits from himself and his accounting firm that he had paid no less than a 14% effective rate for each of the last 20 years, nobody in the media even asked Reid for a comment.

Now, LOSER Reid (a fellow Mormon) says that Romney has “sullied” the Mormon faith and that the presidential nominee is “not the face of Mormonism.” It is not as if Reid were some low-level staffer or an overly zealous donor. He is, for goodness sakes, the majority leader in the U.S. Senate.

Imagine if House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) said that the Obama had “sullied” the face of Christianity and is “not the face of Christianity”? He would be denounced in every newspaper, and his resignation would be demanded.

I believe LOSER Reid has sullied the Mormon faith by his continued attacks on Romney without fact or reason.

One can only hope that Romney will displace LOSER Reid as the highest elected Mormon on November 6.

Sept. 17, 2012 - Loser of the Week - Chicago Students

This week's LOSER OF THE WEEK is the Chicago Public School Students.

The Teachers's UNION is holding the students and parents hostage. The current deal they walked away from was a 16% raise. How many people get or are offered 16% raises right now?

According to news reports, Seventy-nine percent of the 8th graders in the Chicago Public Schools are not grade-level proficient in reading, according to the U.S. Department of Education, and 80 percent are not grade-level proficient in math.

Do these results really DESERVE a raise?

Mayor Rahm Emanuel has decided to send his three children to the University of Chicago Lab Schools rather than put them in the financially strapped Chicago Public Schools he’s trying desperately to reform, Additionally, almost 40% of Chicago Public School teachers send their children to private schools.

When ever you buy a car, ask what type of car the salesman drives. This says volumes about the quality of the car, or in this case the quality of the public school education. If THE teachers won't use the product, why would anyone?

The most humorous situation is how much Chicago Teachers Union President Karen Lewis looks like the Roz character from Monsters, Inc.

Is this the face of LEADERSHIP?

The real LOSERS are the students. They deserve better. They deserve an adequate and actual education.

Sept. 14, 2012 - Friday Funny - Who You Voting For?

This week's FRIDAY FUNNY is another car photo. I will wear a Pro-Romney shirt and put a sign in my yard, but this car goes overboard.

Sept. 11, 2012 - Remembering 9-11

I had the opportunity this past April to visit the Newseum in Washington D.C. It is a for-profit Museum focused on the news media.

They have a emotionally moving 9-11 exhibit. The damaged antenna from the North Tower of the World Trade Center and newspaper front pages about the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks are presented along with a video of the live news reports from that day.

It proved very educational for my young children who were in diapers or unborn at the time of the national tragedy.

We should never forget.

Sept. 7, 2012 - Friday Funny - L8Z People

This car sums up the overall feeling of some Obama supporters. They want something and don't want to work for it.

It would only be more appropriate if it was on a Chevy Volt. A car that cost the owners of the General Motors (US Taxpayers) $49K for every Volt sold.

Hey Obama, thanks for saving GM.
